Jessica Lucey-Brzoza
Jessica brings a deep well of compassion, curiosity, and care to her work as a Senior Move Manager and owner of Smooth Transitions NW Washington. With a background rooted in elder care, somatic healing, and a lifelong interest in the transitions that shape our lives, Jessica offers steady, thoughtful support for clients navigating the emotional and logistical complexities of downsizing and moving.
Her path to this work was deeply personal. After caring for her grandparents during the end of her grandfather’s life, Jessica found herself drawn to end-of-life care and the question of how we honor and support elders in our communities. That experience shaped her values—and later, her career—guiding her into massage therapy, death doula training, and an interdisciplinary degree in somatic psychology: aging, death, and dying from Western Washington University. With Smooth Transitions, she found the perfect alignment of her education, practical help, and human connection.
Jessica approaches each move as a unique and deeply human process. She supports clients at their own pace, bringing patience, honesty, and respect to every interaction. Her style is rooted in listening, not pushing—meeting people where they are, honoring their agency, and helping them let go of items and spaces with care. Her favorite part of the work is helping people resettle into their new homes—creating order, beauty, and a sense of possibility in a new chapter.
Jessica hopes to grow Smooth Transitions into a cornerstone elder care resource in the region, where community members of all generations feel supported, connected, and seen.
When she’s not working, Jessica finds joy in antiquing, gardening, fiber arts, and time spent in nature. She is especially passionate about intergenerational community, lifelong learning, and honoring the stories and wisdom of elders.
